Welcome!!

This is my little space on the internet.  Six String Revival is a place to learn about guitar and guitar playing. I'm encouraging everyone to put down the plastic guitar hero and Rockband controller and pick up a real guitar. It’s aimed at beginner and intermediate players looking to improve their playing.  All the content on this site is authored by me and possibly other contributors to the six string revival.  At times I may reference another lesson, another site, another teacher, or another player to help re-enforce the point I am attempting to make.

Feel free to browse around, and please drop me a line and let me know what you think, improvements you would like to see and even requested lessons.  Otherwise I hope you enjoy the music, articles and Lessons.

"Life & Music", "Left Hand, Right Hand", "Thoughts on Playing and Practicing", and "What's All this Key Stuff about" By Dave Woods. I asked Dave Woods, a Jazz guitar player permissons to post some of his article on our site. Dave had graciously allowed me to do so. I've found Dave's perspective and approach refreshing and helpful. Enjoy and don't forget to drop by Dave's site, Guitar Jazz Guitar Starting Right

Introduction to the Blues - This is something I've had in my head for a while and I'm working on getting it on paper. The goal is to apply music theory, chords, scales into a lesson as well as apply rhythm and lead guitar styles.
